June Activities & Events

June is the pearl of summer, shining with warmth and joy

We had a lovely time in May here at Nettlestead. Residents are missing the baby chicks so we have welcomed a new parrot; CoCo to the home, who they all love! We celebrated our lovely Kate’s 90th birthday! We have some exciting things planned for the month ahead and we are so happy that we have started to see some sunshine!

Please note our Hairdresser; Steve joins us every Wednesday for haircuts/blow dry and restyling.

Activities for June 2024:

Saturday 1st June – Arts & Crafts with Bella
Sunday 2nd June – A lovely Roast Dinner with all the trimmings
Monday 3rd June – Trip out for Tea & cake with Jane
Tuesday 4th June – Keep fit Tuesdays! Slow Yoga with the lovely Ciara followed by relaxing massages & manicures
Wednesday 5th June – National Ginger Bread Day – Making Ginger Bread with Jane and also making cakes for D-Day
Thursday 6th June – Celebrating D-Day! Paul Bells will be joining us to give the residents a D-Day singalong! Followed by Films & D-Day facts.
Friday 7th June – Prize Bingo with Chris & Sue.
Saturday 8th June – Afternoon quizzes and various activities with Bella
Sunday 9th June – A relaxing Sunday full of favourite films and a lovely Roast Dinner to end the week.
Monday 10th June – Afternoon of manicures & facials alongside wine, cheese and nibbles.
Tuesday 11th June – A fun day out to Hall Place with Jane, Emily & Debbie.
Wednesday 12th June – Steve comes to do the residents hair! Followed by a relaxing evening of pampering.
Thursday 13th June – Santini will be performing for us with his wonderful singing talent.
Saturday 15th June – Bella’s fun filled afternoon with a variety of activities.
Sunday 16th June – A wind down day of relaxing with some of our favourite sweet treats, and our lovely Roast of course!
Monday 17th June – Taking a trip to Ruxley Garden Centre for residents to pick some flowers for our lovely garden.
Tuesday 18th June – Another Keep Fit Tuesday with Ciara for Slow Yoga.
Wednesday 19th June – Hai cuts with Steve and an afternoon of our favourite films and a glass of wine.
Thursday 20th June – Residents trip out Greenwich Park with Jane.
Friday 21st June – Prize Bingo with Chris & Sue.
Saturday 22nd June – A fun day of painting with Bella!
Sunday 23rd June – Residents will have a relaxing Sunday and enjoy some down time watching their favourite films with a lovely Roast Dinner with all the trimmings!
Monday 24th June – Afternoon fun with Bingo & Games in the garden!
Tuesday 25th June – Morning of baking tasty Cakes & time to exercise in the afternoon with Ciara for slow yoga.
Wednesday 26th June – Residents will be going out for a shopping trip!
Thursday 27th June – Singalong afternoon with cheese & wine.
Friday 28th June – Prize bingo with Chris & Sue.
Saturday 29th June – Fun filled day with Bella!
Sunday 30th June – A relaxing afternoon to enjoy some tea and cake.

Please note live entertainment is still to be confirmed & all outings are subject to the weather conditions.
