Nightingales Newsletter #70

We were absolutely delighted to receive a Top 20 Care Homes London 2021 award from carehome.co.uk

The annual Care Home Awards 2021 recognises 20 of the top rated Care Homes in each region of the UK and the Top 20 Care Home Groups in the UK based on reviews from residents/service users and their family/friends. The Awards are based on the Individual and Group Review Score, as of 30th June 2021, so to each and every one of you that reviewed us, we THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts and please continue to keep us there!

Nettlestead Annual Summer Party. We had a Fantastic 1940’s Themed Garden Party at Nettlestead in August! With old fashioned food to take us back in time, tea and cakes served on Vintage Crockery; Union Jack flags and balloons the stage was set for our Fabulous singer Liam. Liam graced us with his good looks and a voice as smooth as his velvet jacket! He sang all the old favourites for us!

HomeCare

Our lovely carer, Karleen, took some great photos of June on her first outing since the pandemic started in the summer, to see her family. She met with her daughter and son-in-law, her two granddaughters and her great-grandchildren – how fabulous!. One of her granddaughters travelled all the way up from Somerset to be with the family. June thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon with cake and coffee, her two favourite things, and she didn’t fall asleep once. She loves cats and Virginia has three, which she enjoyed petting too.

June – you look very happy!

If any HomeCare families have photos and/or stories that they would like to share with us then please send them in, we would love to hear from you!
