Our response to Covid-19
We have been working since early February to ensure we are in the best possible position to manage the threat of Covid-19.
In this regard, we have been fortunate to attract a large team of volunteers to support our staff, each of whom are going way above and beyond what can be expected. Our volunteers are there to support them as and when they need to self-isolate.
We have also significantly increased our liquidity to ensure that, whatever financial vagaries accompany the pandemic, our focus remains firmly on the people we look after.
Our residents are our number-one priority at all times, but we also recognise that we have a duty to support the wider community. We therefore have a detailed assessment protocol to ensure we are ready to help new residents in a way that does not put those we currently care for at risk.
As a family-owned care home in Bromley, with more than thirty years experience, we understand that being small and only caring for people with complimentary needs is the only way to ensure the best quality of life for our clients.
Like any big decision, choosing the right care home is a mixture of the emotional and the practical. On the practical side, you want to know you’ll be safe and secure, and have the right level of individual, professional help you need. But that’s only half the story. It’s just as important you like the look and feel of the place that will be your home.
Of course we believe we offer exemplary practical care and emotional support. Our resident’s reviews certainly bear this out. But we want to make sure you make the decision that is right for you. That’s why we pride ourselves on taking the time to give you all the information you need. You can either call to talk to one of our empathetic team; our advice is informed and free and we absolutely don’t do the hard sell. Or better still, drop in at any time that suits you and see Nettlestead for yourself. We are very welcoming and, when you visit, you can talk to other residents and their families for an unbiased view.
The services we offer
Being small and specialising in the frail but socially-able elderly allows us to make a real difference by tailoring our service to you as an individual.
We offer three levels of care – click on the icons for more details. Whichever route you choose, we will sit down with you (and your relatives) to create a care and social activity plan that is right for you.
We want to help you to enjoy life rather than take over your life.
These plans are reviewed regularly, if and when your needs change. Once again if you need clarification – call us.
