Respite care and transitional care
Getting you back on your feet
There are times when we all need a bit more support in our lives. For example we find the elderly sometimes need some help to transition between a hospital treatment and getting back into the full swing of home life. Or you may just be a bit run down and feel you want a couple of weeks of being looked after to get you back to your old self.
Either way, a stay with us can make all the difference. Rest assured you will absolutely enjoy the same high-levels of service and care as our longer-term clients. This includes a care plan tailored to help you recuperate and get back in your own home as quickly as possible. So if it’s time to leave hospital but too soon to go home, or you just need a bit more support for a while – call us, we’re here to help.
Effective care depends on a highly skilled team, a team committed to developing their skills through continuous improvement. But we believe what really makes the difference is an attitude of personal responsibility to you as an individual.
As a long-standing family-employee partnership this attitude runs through all we do. Not only that, but as we are migrating towards employee ownership, every team member is very motivated to make sure your needs are exactly met.
We all need a break, and when it is the turn of someone who looks after you, why not pay us a visit?
As we run a substantial homecare service, we are well aware that many people make the choice to stay in their own home, with carers or relatives coming in to help them manage their day. But we also know when your respected carer or relative takes a well-earned holiday or break it can leave you high and dry. One solution is to come and stay with us for a couple of weeks.
This has a double benefit. Because not only will you be looked after to the highest standard, but also your carers will know you are being well looked after, which will give them the confidence to fully relax and enjoy their break.
People are very kind and caring, the food is good and the room is very nice and comfortable and bright. Thank you for looking after her [Mum] so well!
My father often said how nice everyone was and this was very apparent to me when I visited and saw the staff at work.
All that remains to say is that we are happy that we chose Nettlestead as Mums home for the last part of her life. The care that was provided for her was exceptional and we cannot thank you all enough for the thoughtfulness and diligence that all of the staff provided, from the glass of red wine to giving her a kiss goodnight at bedtime which we all appreciated.
Nettlestead is managed in a professional manner which is undoubtedly conducive to maintaining the well-being of all its residents. All of its caring staff appear to be well liked by all residents.
All staff, from senior management to carers, are well trained and friendly at all times. Response to medical needs is especially good.
Thank you to everyone who has been involved in my Mum's care, enabling her to move back home we cannot thank you enough.
Thank you all for looking after Dad so well - if it hadn't been for all your care and kindness he wouldn't be moving to his own flat so well and full of confidence.
We cannot praise the quality of care highly enough. There is a homely, welcoming atmosphere where staff, residents and relatives are so friendly, like one large family.
