News & Activities February 2026
A snippet of some lovely memories captured in January where residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon performance by a wonderful jazz band. The music captivated everyone present and evoked many fond memories for a number of residents.
As we welcome February 2026, we look forward to a month filled with warmth, companionship and meaningful moments here at Nettlestead. With the days slowly beginning to lengthen, February brings fresh opportunities to enjoy shared activities, celebrate special occasions and continue nurturing the strong sense of community that makes our home so special. Thank you to our residents, families and staff for the kindness, dedication and support you show every day – together, we make Nettlestead a truly caring place to call home.
Sunday 1st February
Residents can relax and enjoy a classic roast dinner, ending the week with a firm favourite.
Monday 2nd February
Movie afternoon, with favourite snacks and drinks provided.
Tuesday 3rd February
Live entertainment with Santini, performing a wide range of music to suit all tastes.
Wednesday 4th February
Haircuts and styling with Steve.
Thursday 5th February
Slow yoga – a gentle, chair-based session promoting relaxation and movement.
Friday 6th February
Prize bingo with Chris and Sue.
Saturday 7th February
Homemade cake baking with Roz.
Sunday 8th February
A traditional roast dinner, offering a relaxing and enjoyable Sunday experience.
Monday 9th February
National Pizza Day – Pizza-making activity, allowing residents to choose their favourite toppings.
Tuesday 10th February
Music and arts session, including painting, drawing, and colouring.
Wednesday 11th February
Live entertainment with David, singing classical music and popular songs from musicals.
Thursday 12th February
Slow yoga with Sheila – relax, stretch, and move comfortably from your chair.
Friday 13th February
Bingo afternoon, with prizes to be won.
Saturday 14th February
Valentine’s Day. Games and crafts with Rozelin, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
Sunday 15th February
A calm and relaxing Sunday spent enjoying each other’s company.
Monday 16th February
Live music entertainment with Freeze Frame, a singing duo (3:00pm–4:00pm).
Tuesday 17th February
Celebration of Chinese New Year with a special Chinese supper.
Wednesday 18th February
Creative clay session.
Thursday 19th February
Relaxing yoga session with Sheila.
Friday 20th February
Prize bingo, with plenty of fun and prizes.
Saturday 21st February
Movie afternoon featuring residents’ favourite films, with cheese and wine.
Sunday 22nd February
A peaceful Sunday afternoon filled with relaxation and smiles.
Monday 23rd February
A scenic car trip to the much-loved Ruxley Manor.
Tuesday 24th February
Music afternoon with a sing-along.
Wednesday 25th February
Live entertainment with Liam (2:30pm–3:30pm), our much-loved traditional-style singer.
Thursday 26th February
Slow yoga with Sheila, supporting gentle fitness and wellbeing.
Friday 27th February
Prize bingo with Chris.
Saturday 28th February
Chats and friendly conversation with Roz.
Please note live entertainment is still to be confirmed & all outings are subject to the weather conditions.
