February 2019 News
A Warm Welcome
We would like to welcome new residents Dora, Helen and Marie to Nettlestead who have all recently joined us.
We would also like to welcome Sherine who has joined the team at Nettlestead as a Care Assistant and Helen who has returned after taking a 3 Month break. Paula has stepped out the Activities role and Katherine and Stathis, whom we all know already, have stepped in.
Thank you
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the families and friends that bought presents and cards for all the staff over Christmas, this was very generous and kind – Thank You!
Feedback
We would like to remind everyone that positive customer reviews and good online ratings increasingly play a key part in helping us come to the attention of potential clients, and so are always valued by us. However, we recognise how valuable your time is so we are offering a bottle of wine to all online reviewers that take the time to share their opinion with us. These can be posted at www.CareHome.co.uk.
We now have sweets and treats by the front door which we are collecting donations for the Children’s Air Ambulance and are still collecting stamps (new/old and UK/overseas) for the Air Ambulance. I am sure we can all get involved and start collecting for this worthy charity. Please do continue to drop them off the next time you pop in for a visit.
Please do have a look at our facebook page which we would encourage you all to go on and have a look at and share ‘Nettlestead News’ so if you haven’t already please do go on and like our page!
Activities
Our residents have been taking part in some great activities.
We visited our local pub, The Oak and enjoyed chatting about our childhood whilst enjoying some snacks and drinks.
There was a cocktail night with a mixture of Gins, Prosecco, Bucks Fizz and Woo Woo’s. We transformed the lounge into a cinema to watch “A Star Is Born” which everyone really enjoyed. We have also been getting out and about with trips to Polhill and Ruxley Manor, afternoon tea with a musical twist and a performance from Frantic Theatre which was very entertaining!
We have lots of activities planned over the coming weeks and hope that you will be able to join us for some of these.
