Our final newsletter of the year is here, and we want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude. Thank you to each and every one of you for your kindness, trust, and support throughout the year. It truly means so much to us.

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas together, we are reminded of how special our community is. We feel incredibly lucky to share these moments with you and your loved ones. Looking ahead to the New Year, we are excited for everything to come and grateful to be entering it with such wonderful people around us.

We wish you a warm, joyful, and peaceful Christmas, and a New Year filled with happiness, health, and love. Thank you for being part of our journey.

Activities for December 2025:

Monday 1st December – Our residents will have a fun afternoon of creating their own personalised Christmas decorations to add to our tree!

Tuesday 2nd December – Bake off time! Join us for festive baking as we decorate gingerbread men and cookies, then enjoy them with a cosy hot chocolate — or a little Baileys if you fancy!

Wednesday 3rd December – A Festive Visit! We’re looking forward to a morning visit from Breaside Primary School, who will be coming to sing Christmas songs and spread some holiday cheer!

Thursday 4th December – Residents will be joining Sheila for a gentle, chair-based exercise session, perfect for stretching, relaxing, and keeping active.

Friday 5th December – It’s time for our weekly Bingo session with Chris and Sue. Who will be the lucky winner this week?

Saturday 6th December – Rozeline will be keeping the residents busy with lots of Christmas themed activities including quizzes.

Sunday 7th December – A cosy Sunday awaits with a delicious home-cooked roast dinner to enjoy together.

Monday 8th December – Get crafty with beaded jewellery, painting, and drawing, all with a festive Christmas theme

Tuesday 9th December – Join us for a car trip out to Greenwich to pick up some festive goodies and get ready for Christmas!

Wednesday 10th December – Liam will be performing live music, the residents absolutely love him!

Thursday 11th December – Join Sheila for gentle, chair-based exercises to stay active, stretch, and have some fun!

Friday 12th December – Bickley Park Boys Choir The choir will be visiting the home at 2:30pm to sing for our residents, we’re sure everyone will really enjoy their performance!

Saturday 13th December – Rozelin will be helping residents create Christmas cards for their loved ones, all while enjoying their favourite music!

Sunday 14th December – A cozy wind-down day in the lounge, enjoying a delicious roast dinner, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and an optional glass of wine. Perfect for some relaxed, festive time together!

Monday 15th December – Our residents are heading to Bullers Wood School at 1:30 PM for a festive Christmas tea, an outing they are really looking forward to!

Tuesday 16th December – Getting creative with the residents to make more decorations to brighten up the home for Christmas!

Wednesday 17th December – The hairdresser will be visiting to give residents fresh haircuts, followed by relaxing facials with Jane, a perfect way to feel pampered and refreshed!

Thursday 18th December – Join Sheila for gentle, armchair exercises to stay active, stretch, and keep fit!

Friday 19th December – Join us at 5:30pm for a festive Christmas performance by Tickle Me Pink — everyone is welcome to join the fun!

Saturday 20th December – Nettlestead Christmas Party 🎁 Our Christmas party is at 4pm with live entertainment from Caroline! Invitations have been sent, everyone is welcome to join the festive fun.

Sunday 21st December – A calm day to relax after a busy night of celebrations. Residents can enjoy some quiet time in the lounge, followed by a delicious roast dinner.

Monday 22nd December – Christmas Cheer! The day will be filled with our favourite Christmas carols, festive mulled wine, Baileys, and plenty of tasty nibbles. A perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit!

Tuesday 23rd December – Enjoy lots of festive games, including a favourite – playing Guess Who!

Wednesday 24th December – Christmas Eve! Getting ready for Christmas with fresh hair cuts and styles with Steve.

Thursday 25th December – Christmas Day 🎄🎁🎄Merry Christmas! Today we’ll be enjoying a joyful day filled with festive cheer. Residents can relax and soak up the Christmas spirit with delicious food, seasonal treats, and plenty of laughter. From a beautifully prepared Christmas lunch to cosy chats, music, and fun surprises, it’s a day to celebrate together and make wonderful memories.

Friday 26th December – Spend a cosy afternoon watching favourite films, accompanied by mulled wine and festive nibbles, the perfect way to unwind on Boxing Day!

Saturday 27th December – Rozelin will be spending the afternoon helping residents create beautiful scrapbooks to capture special memories.

Sunday 28th December – A calm and cosy day to unwind, enjoy some quiet time, and tuck into a delicious home-cooked roast dinner together.

Monday 29th December – Live entertainment to be confirmed.

Tuesday 30th December – Wrapping up warm for a refreshing walk in Greenwich Park (Weather permitting)

Wednesday 31st December – Join us for a fun-filled evening of favourite singalong songs and music, accompanied by cheese, wine, and chocolate, the perfect way to welcome the New Year!
