Message from Nicola

I do hope everyone had a great Christmas, I know we all did here at Nettlestead. I like to take this opportunity to wish you all a healthy 2023. As we welcome in the New Year, we also welcome Julie to her new position as Assistant Manager. Julie has been with Nettlestead for over 10 years and we are delighted to have her join the management team. Congratulations Julie.

Welcome

We welcomed our new resident Josie Lydford in November and she enjoyed her first Christmas with us. Helena Waysluk also enjoyed her first Christmas with us, having moved into Nettlestead in August.

Feedback

We love and appreciate hearing your feedback and reviews and ask if you could spare a few minutes to post a five star review on carehome.co.uk. There is also a bottle of wine for all those who publish their review, we will even provide a straw for the wine! A huge THANK YOU to those family members who have already submitted theirs.

Visiting

It’s no longer necessary to wear masks within the home however as it’s flu season, if you feel you have any symptoms of flu then we kindly request you wear facemasks. Of course, if you wish to continue to wear masks regardless when you visit then please do so.

2nd – Exercises with Balloon & Bats with Chris, along with Welcome to the New Year One to One with residents with Cheese and Wine

3rd – Manicures with Chris and our Singer Caroline coming to join us

4th – Quiz & word search and then hair with Steve & manicures with Jane

5th – Icing biscuits with Chris followed by facials and nails with Jane

6th – Hangman followed by Bingo & Quiz with Chris

9th – Exercises with large ball followed by adult colouring and lastly, a ride out and about with Jane (weather permitting)

10th – Word Search & Crosswords followed by Yoga with Ciara

11th – Manicures & Pampering followed by Hair with Steve and pampering with Jane

12th – Charades with “Don’t say it cards” followed by Singer Joe joining us – sings the residents favourite songs

13th – Bingo & Quiz with Chris

16th – Balloon Batting & Quiz with Chris followed by Bingo with Jane – Prizes to be won!

17th – Crosswords & Word Searches with Chris followed by Yoga with Ciara

18th – Ball throwing and Jigsaws with Chris followed by hair with Steve & Pedicures with Jane

19th – Hangman & Biscuit Icing followed by favourite films & quizzes

20th – Bingo & Quiz with Chris

23rd – Manicures & Exercise followed by an afternoon out with Jane – (weather permitting)

24th – Ball Throwing & Charades followed by Yoga with Ciara & Pedicures with Jane

25th – Word search & Quiz with Chris followed by Hair with Steve & Crosswords & Quizzes with Jane

26th – Flower Arranging followed by Ride out with Jane – Weather permitting)

27th – Reminiscing & Colouring in followed by Bingo & Quiz

30th – Singalong to favourite music with Jane & Remembering old times & Dances

31st – Yoga with Ciara & Manicures with Jane
