We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Liam, who is sadly leaving Nightingales. Thank you for everything you have done for us. You have been wonderful to the residents, staff, and family members. We wish you nothing but success and happiness on your new journey.

We are hosting a fundraiser on August 24th in honor of little Poppy, a 5-year-old girl whose mother was once a staff member at Nettlestead. Poppy has bravely fought cancer three times, and sadly, it has returned for the fourth time, requiring her to begin palliative care.

The event will feature a bouncy castle, glitter tattoos, soft play, a meet and greet with a Ninja Turtle, a cake sale, and a raffle with amazing prizes donated from various sources! We would be very grateful if you could join us and support this cause.

Please note our Hairdresser; Steve joins us every Wednesday for haircuts/blow dry and restyling.

Thursday 1st August – Everything Spanish – Food & Drinks in the Garden!

Friday 2nd August – Afternoon Prize Bingo with Chris & Sue.

Saturday 3rd August – Residents join Bella for Arts and Crafts. 

Sunday 4th August – All things for relaxing on a Sunday Afternoon.

Monday 5th August – Trip out with Jane to the Pleasure Park Tudor Barn for Tea and Cake.

Tuesday 6th August – Time for our keep fit Tuesday with Ciara for Slow Yoga! 

Wednesday 7th August – Haircuts and styles with Steve followed by a car ride out and about with Jane to go Shopping! 

Thursday 8th August – A singer will be providing us with a lively Summer Party Performance! 

Friday 9th August – Afternoon fun with Chris & Sue for Prize Bingo.

Saturday 10th August -Lots of fun games with Bella.

Sunday 11th August – A chilled out Sunday with our favorite films and a roast dinner. 

Monday 12th August – Afternoon of fun games in the garden with tea and scones!

Tuesday 13th August – A day out to Christmas tree farm, followed by Slow Yoga with Ciara. 

Wednesday 14th August – Taking the residents to Pemberley Manor Summer Fayre.

Thursday 15th August – Singalong with Residents to their favorite songs followed by an afternoon of pampering. 

Friday 16th August – Prize Bingo fun with Chris & Sue.

Saturday 17th August – Residents joining Bella for afternoon games and arts & crafts.

Sunday 18th August – A day of winding down and relaxing, watching our favorite films and enjoying a roast dinner with all the trimmings!

Monday 19th August – Turning a part of the garden into the residents patch, planting lots of herbs and easy flowers to take care of!

Tuesday 20th August – Keep fit Tuesdays Slow Yoga with Ciara 

Wednesday 21st August – Haircuts with Steve followed by afternoon Fun Quizzes in the garden with cold refreshments and snacks!

Thursday 22nd August – Outing to Poll Hill. 

Friday 23rd August – Daffodil Day – Adding Daffodil bulbs to our Residents patch! 

Saturday 24th August – We will be holding a fundraiser for an extremely Brave Child who is very close to our hearts.  Please see the attached information and join us if you can. 

Sunday 25th August – A time to relax with a lovely roast dinner.  

Monday 26th August – International Dog Day! Taking the residents to Greenwich Park for Ice-cream and to feed the ducks! 

Tuesday 27th August – Slow yoga with Ciara followed by a Greek Feast! 

Wednesday 28th August – Haircuts and styles with Steve followed by watching our favorite films and nibbles. 

Thursday 29th August – Trip to Honeydale Farm! 

Friday 30th August – Prize bingo with Chris and Sue!

Saturday 31st August – Activities with Bella!
