As we step into the heart of summer, we’re looking forward to brighter days, fresh air, and plenty of meaningful moments together. July brings new opportunities for connection, creativity, and comfort—and we’ve got some lovely activities and events planned to make the most of the sunshine (when it shows up!)

We’d also like to take a moment to thank all of our staff, residents, families, and friends for your continued kindness and support. Your care and positivity truly make our home a special place.

Here’s to a joyful and peaceful July, filled with laughter, love, and sunshine.

Please note our Hairdresser; Steve joins us every Wednesday for haircuts/blow dry and restyling.

Activities for July 2025:

Tuesday 1st July – A day of fun in the garden with lots of different quizzes, fun & games!

Wednesday 2nd July – Time to get active with Slow Yoga led by Ciara to get us feeling energised for the week ahead. We will also be celebrating one of our lovely residents’ birthdays today!

Thursday 3rd July – A trip out to Greenwich park in the car for a yummy ice cream in this beautiful weather!

Friday 4th July – We love our Bingo Fridays at Nettlestead! Please join Sue & Chris for a fun filled game of bingo to win a cheeky chocolate prize.

Saturday 5th July – Creative activities with Rozelin!

Sunday 6th July – A day of relaxing in the lounge or the garden awaiting a lovely home cooked roast dinner!

Monday 7th July – Live Entertainment from Joe singing our residents favourite songs!

Tuesday 8th July – It’s time for Slow Yoga with Ciara! To get the residents ready for the week ahead! Followed by an afternoon of making homemade smoothies & biscuits.

Wednesday 9th July – Hair Cuts & Styles with Steve then an afternoon of Arts & Crafting – painting and varnishing special stones!

Thursday 10th July – Our wonderful Audrey celebrates her 100th Birthday! We will be holding a Birthday Party in her honour in the garden from 3pm with live entertainment to celebrate 100 years of Audrey!

Friday 11th July – Fun Fridays with Sue & Chris for Prize Bingo!

Saturday 12th July – A day of fun activities with Rozelin, residents enjoy a day of light arts and crafts.

Sunday 13th July – A day to unwind from a busy week and watch our favourite films whilst waiting for a lovely roast dinner with all the trimmings and a glass of wine!

Monday 14th July – An afternoon of music! All our residents love a good sing-a-long, Whoever guesses the song will win a prize! With a selection of cheeses to nibble with a lovely glass or two of wine !

Tuesday 15th July – A day out in the sun with Jane to Tudor Barn and Pleasance Park!

Wednesday 16th July – Hair cuts with Steve followed by afternoon tea and games in the garden!

Thursday 17th July – Live entertainment from the lovely Liam singing! Followed by a Chinese supper!

Friday 18th July – Who will win this week’s game of Bingo with Sue & Chris!?

Saturday 19th July – A day of relaxing in the garden enjoying the sun, eating ice creams and doing different activities with Rozelin!

Sunday 20th July – Listening to our favourite music and lounging in the sun followed by our delicious roast dinner!

Monday 21st July – Walking down memory lane! Making scrap books with our photos and favourite things with an afternoon tipple!

Tuesday 22nd July – Live entertainment from David the lovely singer! Please feel free to join us at any of our activities!

Wednesday 23rd July – Visit from Steve for haircuts and styles! Spending the afternoon having foot and hand massages!

Thursday 24th July – A day of gardening! Planting lovely plants in the garden, along with some stretches and exercises too!

Friday 25th July – Prize Bingo with Chris & Sue

Saturday 26th July – Cocktail making in the garden with Rozelin! Making the most of summer this year!

Sunday 27th July – A day of relaxation, enjoying fruits in the garden and then a lovely roast dinner to end the week.

Monday 28th July – Getting ready for our Summer Party on the 2nd of August – With a pamper evening of facials and nail painting! Enjoyed with nibbles and wine (of course)!

Tuesday 29th July – The residents will enjoy a relaxed afternoon with hand massages from Jane!

Wednesday 30th July – Haircuts and styles with Steve to get us ready for our Summer Party!
