Here at Nettlestead Care Home, we believe that every day should bring opportunities of friendship, laughter, and creating special memories together. Our greatest aim is to provide a variety of meaningful activities so that every resident can find something they enjoy and look forward to. We are proud that Nettlestead is more than just a Care Home, it is a true home from home, where everyone is treated with kindness, dignity and compassion, and where each person is valued as part of our family.

Looking back over June here at our lovely home, it has been a month filled with warmth and laughter and special moments together. Residents have enjoyed the brighter weather and maximised the lovely garden and patio, delicious seasonal treats, and meaningful time spent with friends, family and staff. It has been wonderful to see so many smiles.

As July begins, we’re excited for another month of connection, comfort, and shared experiences at Nettlestead. Enjoying the warm weather, brighter days, and our wonderful garden, with cool drinks, ice cream, and opportunities for families to visit.

Wednesday 1st July – 2:30-3:30 pm: Kick off the month with a burst of joy! Liam is hosting a delightful singing session that is sure to get everyone tapping their toes and joining in with a bright smile.

Thursday 2nd July – Find your inner peace with Sheila during a wonderfully relaxing and gentle yoga session. We’ll move at a calm, comfortable pace to leave you feeling refreshed and centered.

Friday 3rd July – Get your lucky charms ready for a fun-filled afternoon of Prize Bingo! Come along for the thrill of the game and the chance to win some fantastic treats.

Saturday 4th July – Test your wits with Roz during our Fun British Quiz! It’s a wonderful opportunity to share your knowledge and enjoy a friendly competition filled with laughter.

Sunday 5th July – Savour a classic Roast & Rest Sunday, followed by a cozy afternoon cinema experience where you can help choose the film we enjoy together.

Monday 6th July – Adventure awaits! Join Jane for an exciting trip out to a local destination—we’ll reveal the lovely surprise location very soon!

Tuesday 7th July – Let the music lift your spirits as Lizzy sings for Nettlestead. Enjoy a beautiful live performance that will fill our home with wonderful melodies.

Wednesday 8th July – Sheila returns for another session of slow yoga. It’s the perfect way to keep fit and relax in a warm, expertly taught environment.

Thursday 9th July – Indulge in some well-deserved pampering with Jane. Relax with a soothing head or foot massage, or treat yourself to a professional manicure.

Friday 10th July – Chris and Sue are hosting another round of Prize Bingo! Join the fun and excitement as we see who takes home the prizes today.

Saturday 11th July – Between 3pm and 4pm, we are delighted to welcome Joan as she sings for Nettlestead. It’s going to be an afternoon of lovely tunes and great company.

Sunday 12th July – Our traditional Roast and Rest day is back. Relax after lunch with a classic film of your choice in our comfortable lounge.

Monday 13th July – Jane is taking us on another wonderful trip out! Stay tuned for the destination—it’s sure to be a lovely day of exploration.

Tuesday 14th July – Celebrate Bastille Day with a touch of French flair! Enjoy a sophisticated afternoon of cheese and wine, followed by a charming French film.

Wednesday 15th July – From 3pm to 4pm, the Maxine Duo will be singing for Nettlestead. Join us for a special performance filled with beautiful harmonies.

Thursday 16th July – Rejuvenate your body and mind with slow yoga led by Sheila from 2:30-3:30 pm. A calm and inviting way to spend your afternoon.

Friday 17th July – We are excited to welcome Joe, who will be singing for Nettlestead today. Come along for a lively and engaging musical treat!

Saturday 18th July – Spend a wonderful, fun-filled afternoon with Rozz. Expect plenty of smiles and engaging activities for everyone to enjoy.

Sunday 19th July – Relax with a delicious Sunday Roast followed by a restful afternoon featuring a classic film of your choice.

Monday 20th July – From 3pm to 4pm, Caroline will be singing for Nettlestead. We invite you to join us for an hour of beautiful live music.

Tuesday 21st July – Let’s head out for some fresh air! Join Jane for a lovely trip out to enjoy the beautiful July scenery.

Wednesday 22nd July – Paul Betts will be performing for us from 3pm to 4pm. It’s sure to be an uplifting session of song and storytelling.

Thursday 23rd July – Take a moment for yourself with Sheila’s gentle slow yoga from 2:30-3:30 pm. A peaceful way to stay active and relaxed.

Friday 24th July – Sue is back for an afternoon of Prize Bingo! Bring your enthusiasm and join us for another chance to win big.

Saturday 25th July – Enjoy a bright and cheerful afternoon with Rozz. It’s the perfect time to connect and enjoy some shared fun.

Sunday 26th July – Savour the comforts of home with our Sunday Roast and a restful afternoon featuring a classic film of your choice.

Monday 27th July – Get ready for some friendly competition! Join Jane for a fun game afternoon that is sure to be full of laughter.

Tuesday 28th July – Experience the power of the human voice as David Woloski sings Opera for Nettlestead from 3pm to 4pm. A truly grand afternoon awaits!

Wednesday 29th July – Make the most of the summer sun with an afternoon trip out hosted by Jane. A lovely chance to see more of the local area.

Thursday 30th July – Sheila leads another soothing slow yoga session. Relax and stretch in good company as we approach the end of the month.

Friday 31st July – We’re ending the month on a high note! RJ will be singing country, reggae, and timeless classics from 3pm to 4pm. Don’t miss this musical celebration!
