May: the month of blooming possibilities and renewed hopes.

This month at Nettlestead has been truly wonderful! We’ve had the joy of witnessing our adorable baby chicks hatch and flourish, bringing smiles to both residents and staff alike through plenty of cuddles. As the weather hopefully gets better, we’re looking forward to more fun outings in the sunshine and making the most of the beautiful days ahead.

We also celebrated the birthdays of two lovely ladies here at Nettlestead. With two delicious cakes and a lively rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ led by our wonderful staff, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy. Birthdays are truly special occasions in our community, full of love and laughter.

Activities for May 2024:

Wednesday 1st May – Morning haircuts with Steve & an afternoon Pamper with Jane.
Thursday 2nd May – Car Trip out with Jane to visit a local cafe for coffee & cake.
Friday 3rd May – Prize Bingo with Chris & Sue & a visit from a Choir to sing for us.
Saturday 4th May – Arts & Crafts afternoon with Bella.
Sunday 5th May – Sunday; the day of rest with a lovely Sunday Roast Lunch, followed by a cosy afternoon in the lounge watching our favourite films – bliss!!
Monday 6th May – A trip to Greenwich Park with Jane.
Tuesday 7th May – Keep fit Tuesdays – Slow yoga with Ciara.
Wednesday 8th May – Our hairdresser Steve visits us for our weekly haircuts. We will be joined by a visit from one of our favourite singers Liam.
Thursday 9th May – A morning out to a local garden centre to buy some plants for our lovely garden!
Friday 10th May – Fun Prize Bingo with Chris & Sue.
Saturday 11th May – Mindful Moments – Lots of crossword puzzles, quizzes & games with Bella.
Sunday 12th May – A relaxing Sunday with a lovely Sunday Roast Lunch.
Monday 13th May – A day of shopping in Charlton with Jane.
Tuesday 14th May – Keeping fit with Ciara – Slow yoga.
Wednesday 15th May – Hair cuts with Steve – Picking our favourite songs in the afternoon for a sing-a-long with Jane.
Thursday 16th May – A day out with Jane – Location yet to be confirmed.
Friday 17th May – An afternoon of Bingo with Chris & Sue.
Saturday 18th May – A day of Fun with Bella.
Sunday 19th May – Our weekly Sunday Roast dinner with all the trimmings and a glass of wine.
Monday 20th May – Trip to Hall Place Bexley with Jane.
Tuesday 21st May – Slow Yoga with Ciara.
Wednesday 22nd May – Hair cuts with Steve.
Thursday 23rd May – Watching our favourite films with cheese & wine.
Friday 24th May – Bingo with Chris & Sue.
Saturday 25th May – Painting Canvases with Bella
Sunday 26th May – A relaxing Sunday of watching our favourite films with sweet treats.
Monday 27th May – Outing with Jane to Greenwich Thames.
Tuesday 28th May – Residents exercise day with Slow Yoga with Ciara.
Wednesday 29th May – Pamper Wednesdays! Hair cuts with Steve in the morning followed by a relaxed afternoon of Manicures & Massages.
Thursday 30th May – A day out to Ruxley Manor with Jane.
Friday 31st May – Prize Bingo with Chris & Sue!
