Everyone enjoys fresh-cut flowers but the residents of Nettlestead Care Home enjoy going one-stage further and doing their own flower arranging. Apart from an opportunity for a good chat as each compares their efforts with the other, they also brighten up the residents’ rooms and public areas with the next session always in time to replace those passing their best.
On Saturday 22nd August, Nettlestead hosted the Nightingales annual Summer Party.
With the sun shining, the garden was transformed into a traditional beach scene, complete with seagulls, beach balls and fish & chips. Live music was provided by the Vagas Rat Pack who played a medley of old favourites from Dean Martin to Frank Sinatra. Read More >
We hosted our Summer Party in June which was a roaring success, even if we do say so ourselves. On 21st June 2014, our Nettlestead Care Home was transformed into a ‘Last Night at the Proms’ styled party which was attended residents and a good number of our HomeCare clients, each of whom certainly added to the party atmosphere! You may have heard the distant echoes of a ‘bingo’ call or the steady plucks of a guitar emanating from Nettlestead Bromley Retirement home and we thought it would be a good idea to introduce the man behind the noise.
Easter is upon us – we love this time of year, spring flowers and blossom on the trees as our beautiful gardens once again stir into life for us all to enjoy.
Obviously mothers should be celebrated everyday but, there is one day of the year reserved especially for that, and it was yesterday. Sons and daughters everywhere took the opportunity to show their mums just how much they mean to them.
Taking advantage of the wonderful weather, six residents and six carers from Nettlestead care home in Bromley enjoyed a wonderful picnic at beautiful Leeds Castle.
Whilst watching tennis is always fun, just because they can no longer pick up a racket the residents at Nettlestead retirement home were not prepared to stop there.
With an enviable reputation for food you may wonder why the residents of Nettlestead Care Home enjoy their regular forays to local pubs for a nice lunch.
